NE Ohio Spring Bunch April 15th 2023

It was a fun day, the people that took it over did a fantastic job. We had some nice displays and good conversation. Long live the NE Ohio Bunch. We had some from out of Ohio that came back, was glad to see them again. Larry

Although I was a bit tired after working all night, I had a great time. It was nice to meet up again with some old friends from "The Bunch" and shoot the breeze. I was happy to see and talk to some new attendees as well. I enjoyed displaying and sharing a few from my collection, felt good to do that again. Many thanks to everyone for the warm welcome and well wishes regarding my health issues. Hopefully I am back on track and will attend the upcoming Symposium as well. Best regards, Bob.

Just wanted to add an apology to our new members from down south, Pete and Eric. Sorry I didn't introduce myself, as I said, I worked all night and was pretty wore out. The pulled pork was awesome by the way!! I was the guy drooling over the scratched up 3 1/2" pre 27 in your display. One of my grail guns. I will make it a point to greet you at the next one!! Best regards, Bob.

Went to the bunch with 5 bags of components to sell, went home with 2 bags. what wasn't touched was the 223 components and 44 mag components and the powders that would be for 44 mag. All the rifle powders sold. I had very low prices on everything, better to sell low to 'bunchers'.
The 223 and 44 stuff I'll start packing in the car for shows and FFF. I've sold out of FFFs' parking lot and show parking lots.

Berea show this weekend, I'm waiting to hear from promoter as to which buildings are to be used. I'll edit the info into this post when a response occurs.

Summer buildings per promoter.

I'll be going Saturday as I've already got plans for Sunday.

I will be going to my hunting camp in Spring Creek, Pa this weekend. Getting ready for Turkey Season. I will be going to Medina on the 29th for the OGCA show. Denny, Thanks again for the 350 REM Mag ammo, and all the other stuff. That was very thoughtful! Thanks, also for keeping us informed on the upcoming gun shows.

Hi Bob,

I’ll look forward to formally meeting you at the next bunch get together hopefully! The scratched up pre 27 3 1/2” is one of my favorites and maybe I’ll have more info on the engraver at the next bunch. I’m thinking that RKMesa might be able to help and I plan on reaching out to him soon.

Thanks,

Eric

Looks like Berea today for me is gonna be a 'wash', too wet and cold for unheated summer buildings. Oh well. I wasn't really going to look for things, mainly socializing and determine the current status of pricing.

Went this morning and met someone to buy some 32 jacketed bullets. Found over 500 32 hbwc’s, that’s all I will load anymore. Sold a pump shotgun just before I left and bought some table items I didn’t need. Started out slow but got busier as time passed and ended up with a good crowd at noonish.

There were canoe rides between buildings to take advantage of the rain. Good day overall, walked slowly to look at the table items. Nice way to spend a rainy morning, Larry

Well didn't make it to Berea this weekend, Saturdays' weather and Sundays' other plans. What I would have been looking for (didn't have any hope for that anyway) are de-milled S&W K/L & N revolver frames for modifying grips.
Larry, stopped at Fragapanes in Bay Village and got some goodies.

Hard to find a de-milled frame at a gun show. Put a want to buy add, sure someone has one or 2 laying around. Sending a pm on another idea. Had a K frame de-milled when I worked, just looked and couldn’t find it. Would have given it to you. Larry
