Again? Toilet paper shortages?

Trump’s tariffs on Canadian lumber could result in toilet paper shortages in the U.S.

Remember summer of 2020 during the Covid Stupid? Panic buying. Store aisles empty. No toilet paper. No paper towels. Hoarding. Price gouging. Armed security guards in stores enforcing limits on purchases.

Could be happening again soon. My advice is to save your fabric softener dryer sheets. They leave a pleasant scent and your hiney will be wrinkle-free all day long.

"The State Issue strikin' paper is a simple one-ply. Keep your empty tube. You get one roll each Thursday IF you follow the line up for Supply Call and swap your empty tube. No tube, no paper.

Hubba, hubba."



Those with means will have more than one roll in their lock-box.

Well, I was going to go through all my files next week and shred the older papers I don't need to keep anymore but now I will keep them and cut 'em into toilet paper sized sheets. HA! :D
 
You can always develop the machine like Dwight had on The Office where it separated 2 ply toilet paper into one ply.

Get double the bang for your buck.

This reminds me of the time that my squad leader sent me to the supply room to get toilet paper for the latrines. Supply sergeant tells me he can't give me any because he doesn't have any. I pointed to the hundred or so rolls on the shelf behind him. He replied that he couldn't give me those because if he did, he wouldn't have enough in inventory. Was he anticipating a massive outbreak of the runs or something? Platoon sergeant got wind of the problem and he and the supply sergeant almost came to blows. Took the First Sergeant to resolve the issue of the tissue. Every day I thank God I never had to go to combat with that outfit.
 
You are all spoiled......

There was a time....long long ago...long since forgotten....in a galaxy close at hand...mankind had no such thing as toilet paper...the world at large was his toilet....yet somehow mankind survived to become the spoiled, whiney, complaining the sky is falling diatribe spouting mass it is today.
