Congratulations on finding a nice, very rare gun. I've never seen one. I doubt we'll ever see a dozen come out of the woods.
I say that because the gun doesn't make a lot of sense. By the time it was built, K frame Targets in 38 Special had already set world records. Also, as I said, nobody as far as I know ever offered wadcutters in 38 S&W. So, why order such a Target gun in 38 S&W? If one wanted a small lightweight Target gun that could be sighted in precisely to pop heads of hummingbirds, exterminate rats, or kill obnoxious bumblebees, the 32 RP Targets were completely adequate and wadcutters were available!
I'll give that one unicorn status.![]()
Thanks Lee, again I really appreciate that insight. I know scarcity and value aren't the same thing but it's cool to own one of a handful.
