Any more no lock models coming?

So what if they do away with the lock? You've still got MIM parts, two piece barrels and all the other changes people have complained about. Removing the lock doesn't make 'em like they used to be and they never will be like that again.

Not saying it’s better, but that’s the nice thing about the Model 66 Combat Magnum. The barrel is 2.75”, so a slightly longer sight radius and extra 1/4” of barrel for powder to burn, while also having a full length ejector rod. I believe it’s the shortest barrel length with the full rod.
You are correct about the ejector rod on the redesigned K-frame's. With the old design, with the front lock being the tip of the ejector rod, 3 inches was the minimum length barrel for a full length ejector rod.

My Model 19-9 Classic K frame revolver is no longer listed on the Smith & Wesson website. They have had the 19-9 Classic and 19-10 No Lock both listed up until a few days ago. The 19-10 is $1099. I think the 19-9 was $989. So, it looks to me like once a No Lock version comes out the IL version of that model is being discontinued. What really stinks is that the new No Lock models are not California legal.

The "Moss Green" cerakote Model 19 Carry Comp is showing up on a lot of sites, SKU 14451 if any of you want to see if your LGS can get one for you.

The color makes me think that this is another distributor exclusive request like the UC J-frames and the Mountain Guns.

I like the new no lock Smiths but admit they are not quite as classy as the old guns with forged parts, great polish, and deep bluing. For about the same money you could buy an old gun in near mint condition which I would prefer but then I hate to shoot it a lot and put a turn line on the cylinder. Maybe I need to buy some of the new guns and shoot the heck out of them and save my old guns as safe queens for me to take out and admire.

Best prices I'm seeing right now are $855 with quote at Gunprime and $858 at KY Gun Co. That's about $50 more than the cheapest prices on the stainless 640 Pros.

KYGUNCO charges no tax and shipping is free. Add transfer fee on your end.
I think neither does Gunprime. I bought a PYTHON from Birmingham Gun Warehouse,no tax , I think it’s the same company.
