Looking to purchase the CSX E, but due to its size some of the reviewers are getting slide bites on their thumb or web of shooting hand.

I don't have a place to rent this handgun to test it out, so looking for some practical experience from those who own and shoot the CSX.

If you have meaty hands, it is possible for the bottom of the slide to rub the top of your hand as it cycles. A very slight grip adjustment will fix that. My boss has some pretty beefy hands and it did not rub for him and only very slightly for me. Not nearly enough for friction burns though.

I have an original version of the CSX that I EDC. I have relatively large hands and due to carrying/shooting a 1911 for the past 35-40 years I tend to grip very high on the back of the frame. I have never gotten bitten by the slide or hammer of the CSX. (photo #1 shows clearance of my hand from the slide & hammer, standard high grip.) The only point of irritation I have is at the inside of my right thumb right at the base joint. (photo #2 with my hand slightly lowered to show the point of irritation.) The root/pivot of the left safety lever at the point where it joins the "beaver tail" tends to rub me raw when I shoot 100-150 rds at a time. (Note: I had this joint broken in a car crash several years ago and the joint is a little irregular, so that could be causing the issue.)
