A Mallard walks into a Bar.
The Bartender points and yells DUCK!
Everyone hits the floor!
Was duck hunting with someone new after my hunting partner had died many years back. My old partner and I did not shoot Buffleheads.
I saw one coming from his side and said "Bufflehead" like I had done for over 30 years, then turned to look at the other side of our decoys.
My old partner and I would say what we were seeing coming. "Duck" meant one not ID'd yet.
I hear the new guy say "duck", so I slowly started to swivel back to my left and "BOOM" from the newbie. Muzzle blast of his ten gauge knocked me off my swivel bucket to the floor as I felt the muzzle blast streak across the left side of my face. Still can't understand everything I can hear from my left ear.
I said "duck", he said. I crawled out the boat and started taking decoys in. "What are you doing?", he asked. All I said was, "If I were you, I'd start taking down our blind." We never hunted together again. True story.

Got home a few hours ago from a trip to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, so I'll be doing photo dumps as I review and edit the several hundred pictures I took. Here are a few from the drive to Gunnison via Colorado Hwy 24 to Buena Vista and County Rd 306 through Cottonwood Pass (12,119 ft. elevation).

Views of the Gunnison taken from Hwy 92 as we were driving to the North Rim. Heavy rain on the way back precluded more picture taking.
