I am a fan of odd or unusual firearms. I am not a gunbroker fan but they have some unusual stuff… this morning I looked at a gun and first time as I placed a bid there was an additional box to check, it was for a 10% buyer’s premium
I did not complete my bid

After reading this^^, I went straight to GB and placed a bid on a pistol. I didn't see any additional charges as I bid.
I generally browse 20 or 30 firearms a day and that was the first time I have ever seen it. On the screen where I went to put in a bid, it would not accept the bid until you checked the box saying there was an additional 10% buyers premium

Twenty years ago I really liked Gunbroker.
Now I have to want the gun really bad and have checked everywhere else before I will bid on anything.
We have purchased only 1 gun there since 2016.

Sellers trying to get their fees paid…by the buyer. I’ve not seen that option before but the site is changing since I’ve bought or sold anything there. I have been perusing but not seriously. Retirement level money does not go far.! Pretty soon local gun stores will have the better deals. Even in this crappy state..we do have some good gun people, shops and ranges (but I’m still looking to leave somewhere water stays wet. )

Have to be very wary of all the hidden costs on GB. Crazy high shipping charges, extra percentage of final winning bid added for insurance, fees for credit cards, etc. You can find the occasional good deal, but you have to read everything. Like everything, I guess, buyer beware....
