I recently bought a used M&P 2.0 10mm. Took it to the range yesterday and for the most part it did great, had a few FTF but I believe that was a weak spring in one of the magazines. I swaped magazines and no issues after that. But when I got home I did a compleat breakdown and clean of the slide. Except the safty plunger, I couldnt get the plunger out. The spring and small teardrop plate would not release after i removed the plate off the slide. Mine has the plate on top of the slide you need to remove to expose the roll pin for the extractor and spring for the plunger, not the desighn you need to remove the rear sight to disassemble. What step am I missing to remove the safty plunger

Without knowing if the 10mm is different than others, if I’m not mistaken, those with the safety plunger under the optic plate, isn’t there a small, VERY small hex head screw that holds that tear shaped cap in place. It’s like a .5mm or something tiny like that. Picture with the plate removed?
You did remove the striker assembly, correct?

It looked like a roll pin or the end of a small spring to me. But I will take the plate off again in the morning after work and look again. And yes I removed the striker assembly before trying to remove the safty plunger and also the extractor to clean both of those areas. I'll update you when I take the plate off
