About 3 years ago I started calling 3” K Frames “chicken wing guns” I can remember when the grocery store would almost pay you to take chicken wings. Same with 3” K Frames. No one wanted them. Now wings are more expensive than chicken breast and 3” K frames demand top dollar. Thankfully they seem to be coming down. During the Covid scare 3” 66’s were bringing 2K. Now they are $1500-1700. Hopefully they will get down to $1k-1200I once owned THREE S&W 66 3" barrel .357s... but back then they were no big deal... would be a nice 'retirement package' addition if I still had 'em!
Yep, it kinda sucks and is BS in my opinion. The law was passed to help prevent gun violence, which makes no sense to me. It only takes one nut with one gun. Why did they choose a qty of 3 and not one? This all came to change after the Sandy Hook incident. As DEF3 said:
"As I said before, CT only allows 3 handgun purchases within 30 days. I maxed that out on May 15 so come on June 16th!"
I used to live in Virginia and I remember that the government limited me to buying ONE handgun in a 30 day period. I think that has since been repealed. Now that I live in Arkansas to be closer to family, I have bought a couple of handguns and was told that I can buy as many as I can afford as often as I want.
Thanks, DEF3. I've never heard of Steve's before. I like going to the races up at Stafford Springs, I'll stop there on my way up sometime.Dino, usually Newington guns or Tobacco Valley or Steve’s
