Auto Start Stop

‘24 Crosstreks have it. Took less than two weeks for me to install a $99 Ebay part into a brand-new car to kill the auto start/stop. The good news is that the part works. Would have paid $500 for it.

While we are at it, what does everyone think about paying monthly fees to use the remote-start feature in new cars?

I found a way around that too.

That would suck. Fortunately Ford hasn't done that (yet.) They only do that for navigation and in car wifi so far, I can start it with the fob nearby or with my phone from pretty much anywhere there's service with no subscription needed. Same for the wife's Lincoln.

I will not pay for a navigation subscription, either. There's Car Play and Android Auto for that.
The vehicle's built in navigation will show you where you are, but you can't set destinations, get directions, or get updates without the subscription.
