I’m only familiar with his many special editions through Ruger.
Other than that I know nothing about him other than he’s a gun writer. RIP.

Agree. Very sad to hear this news.
I liked his version of 1911s.

He was a talented and knowledgeable gunwriter. IIRC he was also a combat officer in Vietnam. Much respect.
RIP. I loved reading his articles in the various gun rags. Very practicle. And I have a Wiley Clapp 1911 Government. Great gun.
