NE Ohio Bunch Spring 2026 Last Meeting

Larry, a few months ago Bert H on the WACA forums had a bunch of 22 Hornet, and K Hornet brass that he wanted to sell. You might want to check with him. He most likely still has some for sell.

Thought I would get my 89-year-old father out of the house for a bit today, so we went to the Medina gun show. Attendance seemed to be good, the quality of items for sale not so much so. Lots of black rifles and polymer guns, assorted flea market type items. Not a whole lot that would be of interest to serious collectors, and prices were quite high, I thought. Very few S&W's, even fewer revolvers. I did recognize a few fellow SWCA and Bunch members. I had a nice conversation with Roger Jarrett. He and my father swapped stories of when they were young boys which I thoroughly enjoyed.

The only 3" S&W I saw was a very nice 629-1. Although I have one in my collection, I decided to bring it home. Looked to be fired very little with a nice set of combat grips, original box in high condition and unopened tools kit. Overall, I would say the show was a disappointment, but it worked out ok for me.

Bob...I thoroughly enjoyed meeting your Father today at Medina...very nice gentleman... I also enjoyed his stories...you and your Father are a lot like my Uncle in your collecting pursuits...glad you found something today...no luck on my part...another neat thing about the show today is I reconnected with Dan Tanko...it was nice to see him again...Roger

Been 8 days since a post in here.
Finally getting rain, ground has been like concrete, hopefully the lower daily temps (compared to the heat wave) and rain will bring the lawns/grass out of heat/dry dormancy.
Only fireworks I watched was the Washington/DC show last night, because of the weather the show didn't start until 1 minute until midnight.

The heat has been miserable but fortunately the trees have been a blessing as far as watering. The canopy tends to hold the moisture down to the earth. Of course when the moisture is combined with high temperatures it is considered humidity with all the negative connotations that offers.

I water the nursery beds and the new beds. The lawn is established as are many of the other beds. Because we use organic practices our lawn has been a very healthy green all through the heat.

Spent an incredible 4th. of July at the Akron Rubber Ducks game.

My niece outdid herself, our seats were about 15 rows directly behind home plate.

The fireworks show must have easily lasted 30 minutes, set to patriot songs, it was great!

Went today, got there about 10 am. Not too crowded at all. The guy I went to see with a rifle )if it wasn’t sold) was at Camp Perry. Oh well, came back with the 2 I took to sell and decided to make the one work. The other one will be a hard sell. Larry
