Has anyone done any testing on these, wetpack, water jugs, etc? Thinking about loading up a bunch to stash for a SHTF scenario.

I just bought 1K of the same bullets and I'm looking for suggestions for load data. What are you using for powder and the OAL? I haven't shot any so I can't help you on testing them.

I just started reloading, at the moment I'm using Power Pistol. According to the Lee Modern Reloading info, I'd start with 6 gr and an OAL of 1.150". First make sure it dropped into my PF9, real 'short' throat, if it fit there, my other guns should be good to go. I'd also ask Precision Delta for their recommendations.

I have used these for several years. I load over 4.8grs of Win231 with an OAL of 1.150
They chrono out in my Glock 19 at average velocity 1073
extreme spread at 63.83
standard deaviation of 18.24
Thru my EMP 9mm at average velocity of 1022
extreme spread of 40
standard deviation of 10.1
Both were 10 shots fired with the chrono about 15 feet from the muzzel on a 30 degree day.
I also tested a Hornaday 124gr FMJFP using the same powder load. They came out slightly better overall in both guns.
I also tested "Zero" brand bullets, again using the same powder load and they did not do as well in either gun.
I can highly recommend the Precision Delta bullets.

The Precision Delta, Zero and Montana Gold bullets are target bullets, not performing hollow points. If you are looking for bullets to use against a live target, then you need to look to the makers of the Gold Dot, the Golden Sabre, the Ranger T series, Hornady has a couple etc. Now I am sure a decent hit with any of the target hollow points will do serious damage.

Why would someone use a hollow point just for target shooting?

Yes! They are more accurate in MY guns than fmj,cmj, plated, or moly.

It moves the center of gravity of the bullet to the rear resulting in better stability. Most rifle bullets designed for target are HP. Do not make the mistake of using them on game.

I dunno, I've become a bit skeptical of the whole "SD bullet" thing. Seems to me that any JHP will offer the increased velocity over cast lead and whether the jacket reliably deploys upon impact is debatable due to photo evidence to the contrary.

Looking at the photo of the Delta 124 JHP it looks a whole lot like Remington's offering. Or Nosler's.

And you are absolutely correct - shot placement is the primary thing.

When I pick up the Precision Delta bullets from the sand behind the targets, they look like you could load them and fire them again.
The Speer Gold Dots are nicely expanded.
Two different bullet designs, two different purposes.
My last purchase of the Precision Delta 9mm bullets for range shooting was 10,000 bullets.
I carry Speer Gold Dots for defense.

So no one has actually tested these in water, wetpacks or gellatin?

Over on Brian Enos you can find where these have been tested. But for accuracy not expansion. The manufacturer doesn't even promote them as self defense bullets. They are just one of the cheapest(lowest price) jacketed bullets available. For a shtf senario, I would stockpile the fmj, not the hollow points. This would up your reliability factor. For shtf I would like some buckshot and plenty of ar mags preloaded.
