45 ACP Blazer Brass. Is it small or large Pistol Primers

Current production has small pistol primers. I bought a case of the stuff on purpose so I can leave it lay at my 3-gun competitions. Somebody there keeps picking up all of my brass, so I thought they could have some "fun" with this stuff (hehe).

The stuff I've been seeing has small primers. Federal does that also, but not with any consistency that I can tell.

Dependong on when ot was made, it can be either. If buying local, open the box & look. If. Buying online, send an email if possible or just roll the dice. Nothing wrong with loading sp in 45acp, i just dont like it be ause i am already setup for lo 45acp.
Personally, I don't care which primer is used.....I load them both....just separate them after tumbling....no big deal to me.
I put the .45 acp toolhead into the Dillon 550 after I am done with some other small primer run like 9mm or .40

Same here. Only takes me a couple minutes to switch from LP to SP and I can't tell any difference when shooting the two.
This weekend I came across some 45 brass my father-in-law was shooting. The headstamp is Federal NT and after a little research I found that it is loaded with a lead free non toxic primer, thus the NT label. It uses a small pistol primer and it is also crimped. Had about 30 pieces of the stuff and threw it away not wanted to deal with the crimp. What really caught my eye was that this once fired brass looked almost like unfired stuff because it was so clean. Here's a photo of it. Mixed factory and once reloaded brass on the left and the Federal NT on the right. No, the cases had not been cleaned even though they look like the have been.

I don't have a problem with the different size primers, just separate them after tumbling, I can't tell any difference in accuracy. I can see where it could be a pain if you don't separate first. Personally I would like to only have one size primers to stock for all my handguns calibers. All things being equal.
