White River Energetics Large Rifle Primers

Fiocchi was building a new primer factory in Little Rock, but I think it is a long way from completion at present. For sure, they made a very poor decision about the property they purchased for the project. I can find nothing other than stale information about the Fiocchi primer plant status. There was another company across the state line in Texarkana Texas which was supposed to go into the primer business, called Expansion Industries, but I believe it turned out to be a scam operation to swindle its investors. Expansion Industries filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in late 2023, and that is highly consistent with its being nothing but a scam operation.

There are numerous mentions of WRE on the internet. Located in Des Arc AR (pop. 2000) in east central Arkansas. But precious little detail could be found about the WRE operation beyond its location. White River Energetics, Llc, 14227 LIVESAY ROAD, DES ARC, AR | FFLs.com Their primers seem to be very expensively priced from what information I saw. Building a primer factory from scratch would be a very daunting project requiring considerable expertise and very deep pockets. I wouldn't get excited about WRE as a viable primer source just yet. It doesn't smell quite right to me.

I did find out that White River Energetics is a part of another company out of Tampa FL called D&M Holding Company. They apparently have some involvement in ammunition manufacturing, but it is unclear exactly who or what that organization is. D&M Holding Company - and https://www.dmholding.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/DM-Brochure-Update-web.pdf. Does anyone know anything about D&M? I have never before heard of them.

I scoped out their website.
They are on a hiring drive above anything else. That tells me they have some legitimate intent, otherwise we'd just see sales of stuff they don't have. Add to that, Powder Valley has their stuff in hand. PV is well established and trusted. That's two indicators of an honest attempt.
While the field is ripe for fraud, and caution is always well advised, we don't get to daylight without supporting the solution.

I have been pondering buying a 1000 to just try them even though they are no bargain and my need is not critical. If I can find something else I need to ease the pain of hazmat I may yet order some WRE LR primers.

But it seems strange to me that this company seems to have materialized out of thin air. I did find that they are selling primers in Australia and New Zealand right now, and are working to establish a small arms ammunition manufacturing facility in the Ukraine. CIA involvement maybe? There is a story here somewhere.

Regardless of a price higher than some want to pay, it would be well worth the expense to buy American-made primers that work as well and fit as well as the American-made primers we're all used to. Having primers in hand is worth a lot more than a few dollars to me and others who enjoy shooting regularly.
