Yes it can, but you need reference book on how to do it correctly or you could end up in a bit of strife, it is a simple operation though. Firstly remove grips, second remove sideplate screws tap grip frame sharply with a wooden mallet or similar, the side plate should pop out nicely. Dont try and lever it you may damage/mark it. Next remove main spring, loosen off the strain screw then depress the top of the main spring with a pair of pliers downwards thus disconnecting from the hammer stirrup then simply withdraw from frame. Rotate the top of the hand to the rear using a small screwdriver as a lever and whilst holding the hand to the rear in this fashion pull the trigger and hold it to the rear, the hammer can now be rotated about halfway back and carefully pull upwards and off the hammer pin.
Disassemble the hammer, rotate the hand forward about 180 degrees and pull it off the hammer. Use a small pin punch and hammer drift out the pin in the centre front of the hammer that holds the hand spring in place, the hand spring can now be slid out of its recess in the hammer. Replace spring and to re-assemble just reverse order of the above info.
Good luck, if in doubt then a good gunsmith should be able to do it for you. The correct pin punch and screwdriver bits are essential so as not to damage the guns finish.
