Couple years back I was fortunate to be able to acquire a Model 1 1/2 - First Issue in the uncommon 4 inch barrel length. You may remember the photo...

Well at this year's SWCA annual meeting, I came across another 4 inch version...

Pace, I have two 32 Safety Hammerless shipped on the same day in 1888 that are about 1000 numbers apart and are the only two that I know of in their configuration. I also have 2 3rd models with consecutive serial numbers that shipped about a month apart.
Go figure.

I wonder if 18174 was part of the same shipment of fifty? That shipment is one-quarter of the 200 believed produced. Guess we'll never know as I won't letter that serial number at the $50 rate; I'm too cheap. Mike #283
