Never marked on top:

Marked the usual ways elsewhere:

I couldn't afford to keep the whole trooper, but I snagged a button before he left :D

That is all kinds of interesting to say the least! Ok, so now you have to fill us in on" the story". I'm sure you have or are going to letter it. Any idea how many more may be so marked? Cool find and thanks for showing us this. Kyle

I don't know much.
I don't know how many they got.
I only know they got some during the war.
See Pate's book, page 147.

Good move. They can get expensive to feed and heavy to carry around.
Nice gun too.

Lee, very cool!

Do you have an approximate date when it shipped? I've seen some others that were shipped in February of 1944.

The "W" on the butt looks just like a Maritime Commission Victory I have (shipped Feb. 2, 1944).

Thanks!

Hi Lee,

it is a very nice revolver, now you should know where his older twin brother lives. He lives in Germany and is marked ISP. 85
The serial is V 524087

Best regards

Paul,
I just saw this.
Cool! I wonder how many they got......
Did you buy yours here in the US, or find it in Europe?

Paul, does yours also have a "W" stamped on the butt? Have you lettered it to find out where it was originally shipped and when?

Thanks!

Lee:

That is a neat gun. Would you mind posting here or PMing me with the complete serial number as I would like to add it to the Victory Model Database? Thanks.

Dear Linda, dear Lee,

1. I found my Victory here in Germany, it is in an excellent, and I think, original condition and I paid, please don't cry now, 85 €.
2. There are no U.S. property markings on the top strap.
3. No "W" at the grip, but beside the "V" there is a flaming bomb.
4. After removing the grip, I can read a letter "J" (barrel pointed to the left) and on the other side the letter "S" is marked.
5.. I haven't lettered it until now, but with my next contact to Roy I will do it.

Best regards to my US friends.

ps. 3 days ago I lost my mother, and after the funeral I will try to get some photos.

I can recall seeing Victory models in DOC and ISP hands in the 60's --- as "red handle" training guns.
