Hi
Below is a Picture of 091 one of the 12 Prototype Triple lock built in 1906 and Given to
Some of American's Greatest Handgun Competitors for testing.
This one was shipped to Dr. I R Calkins He represented the US in several

Where do you find these treasures?

My theory is that when you amass the number of rare, limited production guns that Jim has, they become critical mass that draws other rare, limited guns out of the bushes......:D;)

Jim,
Great gun! A truly interesting piece of history! Thanks for sharing.
Bill

I wonder if any of the others exist in such fine condition? The one shipped to DB Wesson would be interesting.

Thanks for sharing, this has to be one of the most memorable threads!

Thank you for sharing. I especially like to see the older pictures of shooters and hunters wearing ties. They had class. Larry

And they also kept their fingers in the trigger guard:(!

Great gun, Jim. I look forward to seeing it again in Houston. Hope to be able to help you set up the display.

Bob

Hi.
I corrected the location of Dr.Calkins in the shooting team picture.
Jim

Please forgive my poor attempt at humor...what a remarkable gun and history. Thank you for taking the time to post the pictures and share it.

A great gun with a great provenance - a rarely seen combo. Thanks for sharing. I wish I could see this whole display. I assume other forum members will post pics of it at that show.

OK Crabtree. Dig around in the bottom of your safe and show us some pictures of 'ol #092! If you will dig it out I bet Jim would include it in his NRA Display:D

Bob

The medals look good, Jim. They'll will really add to the display.

Don't you have some early .44 S&W Special ammo to display with the gun at the NRA? I've got a box of Peters Cartridge Co. and a box of Union Metallic Cartridge Co. (Both from the 1907-08 through 1920 era) if you need to use them.
