There's a little cross pin that goes with the lanyard loop, just take off the stocks, insert the lanyard loop, and put the crosspin in. Replace the stocks and you are done.

If I am remembering correctly, you remove the grips, place the post for the lanyard ring in the hole and drive a tiny cross pin in place to hold it. It should have a pin hole near the bottom of the frame on the flat of the frame. I believe the cross pin fits into a notch in the lanyard post thus allowing it to spin.

The pin may still be in the frame. It is very small in diameter. If it is not there, you can make one from the shank of a drill bit. I have to remember on one of my guns with lanyard rings that the grip panel holds it in place. If I'm not careful when I remove the grips, the pin falls into places where it is hard to find. I guess over time, the press fit has loosened.
