hello all,
wondering if i could bother you kind folks for an estimated retail value for my K22 Masterpiece. have done a lot of reading here and pretty sure i have all the info needed. it's been well-used and maintained but has a lot of holster wear, scuffs, and dings. barrel-to-cyl gap is .010, cyl "endshake" is .004, lockup is more than i had hoped, seems a bit loose on the ejector shaft.
here's what i know:
.22 caliber smith and Wesson revolver
s/n K68337 (gives date of manufacture 1948)
letter from roy jinks states that it's a pre-Model 17, K22 masterpiece sold in 1950.
frame number – k68337
cylinder number – k68337
barrel number k68337
grip number – 68337
6 inch barrel
standard trigger (.265)
semi-target hammer (.375)
patridge front sight (.100)
5 screw
post-war rear sight, adjustable
has strain screw
4 line manufacturer mark
number behind yoke – 9b 77800
here's a few pics, and many thx, fellas!
