Holster Rig Stamped w/ S&W Logo and Others w/Pics
Found this holster that is stamped with the S&W logo and B36 34 on the back. It's for a K Frame and has my ca. 1971 15-3 in it.
Found this holster which is stamped Safariland Monrovia Calif. It is also for a K Frame revolver.
This is the same Safariland holster with a HKS speed loader and pouch.
Again the same K Frame this time with a Bucheimer holster.
Last is the Safariland holster attached to a Safariland belt.
This is a Don Hume holster, for a J Frame, with my ca. 1971 Model 36 in it.
This is the same holster with a Bucheimer B11 ammo pouch.
Here is a Bucheimer Concealer with the B11.
Last here is a Brown Leather Hunter 1100 6 holster with my model 36.
Hope you guys enjoy.
Thanks for looking,
Kobsw

CQ, I was hoping to find a S&W holster for this gun but I had no idea that it would turn up in a bunch of my father's things from his LEO days.
I found two of them and although they are not practical for the type of carrying I do I think they are really neat.
Thanks for responding,
Kobsw

Does anyone have a chart showing what guns the numbers on the back of the S&W holsters stand for?

While on vacation in Mooresville, NC last week, I killed some time in a local pawn/gun shop, and found an almost unused black Hunter 1100-11 to fit my 4" nickel Model 19. I did not realize the difference in strap location on the Hunter versus the S&W models until then.

Looking at your superb photography reminded me of my gear when I first came on the job. Unfortunately, it did not last in that beautiful condition very long!

SD... It's amazing what some black shoe polish and flitz can do.
This is some of my Dad's gear that I just came across. These holsters were in just one of 5 boxes of stuff.
I did pick out most of the nicer ones..
Glad you you took a look,
Kobsw

Quite right kobsw, I will be retiring in 2012 after 25 years of service. The only piece of leather gear that I still wear from my initial issue is my cuff case. Leather dye is still keeping it in service. Oddly enough, my original gun belt seems to have shrunk and I had to get another, slightly larger one after I turned 40!

It is amazing how leather does that. I have found the same thing happening to my jeans and my summer shorts. I think that since most of our clothing is made in China these days, they make them smaller to fit the Chinese but still use the American sizes. Thats the only thing I can think of that makes sense.

Wow, a blast from the past. I had/carried one of those swivel holsters a long time ago (hint: I just retired after 31 1/2 years) and they were old school when I had one. Never had that style of gunbelt though... I wish I had one now, but like some of the others, the newer stuff is measured wrong and they are making them too small in my size!
