George Lawrence Holster - size chart needed

Hi, I am new to the S&W forum and I see that the last post in this thread was on 06-10-2013. If anyone still accesses this thread and has information on George Lawrence holsters, I have the following holster and was wondering what gun it might fit...

99B
The George Lawrence Co.
Portland, Oregon
577

Thanks in advance for any help.

Tom

Tom, welcome to the forum. #577 fits a 6.5" Ruger .44 Magnum.

I've had a little luck loooking for information like this by googling to find a catalog or brochure for sale on ebay, the using the zoom/scroll around feature to read it.

George Lawrence Holster Info Please?

Hi, I'm new to the forum and would appreciate information about some George Lawrence holsters. I will be selling 3 holsters and a belt for my elderly father and want to have correct info before I start the auctions. The two I need info for are a 79X 603 and a 79X 686. I know they are the gunslinger model and the X refers to being left handed, but I'm not sure what guns they are for. I think the model 603 is for a Ruger .357 6 1/2" Blackhawk, but I might be wrong. The 686 I am even less sure (I think the 686 is coincidental to the S & W model 686). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Geo. Lawrence #78 holster and 78 belt in size medium. The model I think is a Gunslinger 2. I bought it new in 78. It fits a Ruger Super blackhawk, and the belt is stamped 44 for 44mag. It is in mint condition. Lawrence products came through heavily oiled. Any idea what it is worth? I know the list price on it was over 200.00 I believe in 78. Thanks

I have a George Lawrence shoulder holster with the numbers 782 stamped on it and a 8w & 7D above that, can any tell me what this fits ??
Thank You

This is a small Geo. Lawrence holster likely for a small .22

It is number marked 22 A and below that 4 1/2 I assume inches.

What was it designed for?

It also has a feature I've not seen on a Lawrence holster yet. Which is below. It looks like an anniversary emblem.

If you look closely, you can see the odd stamp at the top is covering up a stamped 25. This is the holster style. Why the overstamp, I don't know. 22 A denotes a 22 automatic and 4 1/2 is the barrel length, telling us the holster likely fits a High Standard or Colt Woodsman.

Thanks but it's just a matter of checking some charts a fellow forum member and holster expert (you guys know who that is, I'm sure) was kind enough to provide me with. :)

That was a part of my question above. The number "25" is in a completely different font and much sharper, than the standard stamped numbers as seen below in the model number and barrel length stamps. This led me to wonder if it was a "25th anniversary stamp" or some such. I haven't seen this type stamp from Lawrence before. But most likely a stamp done in error and stamped over as you surmise.

I hope someone with a G Lawrence catalog can help me. I have a 1C 523 holster and don't know what sort of gun might fit it. Thank you in advance.

523 = 2" Colt DS, Cobra, Agent

Paul, none of the charts I have go as high as 679. I assume yours is a more recent holster and the latest chart I have is from the mid-'60s.
