Photo Intensive!!! Lately, I have been spending most of my time in the Pre-61 section of the forum, but I recently became aware of a beautifully engraved 29-2. When I went and looked closely at it, I found the work to be very nicely done. I believe that it was engraved by Jeff Flannery [UPDATE 4/18/13 - I just received and email back from Jeff Flannery that he did indeed engrave this gun 15-20 years ago]. At first, I did not like the gold finish applied to the trigger, hammer, ejector rod and the thumb latch, but it has grown on me the past week or so...

I hope that you enjoy the photos - I tried to take a bunch, so that I could appropriately share the beauty of this gun.

Here are a few closer-ups of the ivory:

Thanks for letting me share,

Very nice. Great looking revolver, better than mine! I put a tie strap around my hammer when a friend not knowing better, tried to dry fire mine.

It's really hard to imagine the talent to envision and the ability to create something as intricate and beautiful as this. Whoever did this is a real genius. Thank you for posting.
teesur.

Beautiful work of art - and just a reminder, you can click the picture to make it open bigger, which allows for extra droooooooling.

Jim:

Your 29 is a beautiful gun!!! Do you know who the engraver was? A couple of S&W factory engravers used to carve the S&W trademark below the cylinder the same way that your gun is laid out. I also love the inlays of the S&W Scenes.

Thanks for sharing,

Richard,

That gun is beautiful, and I don't think I've ever seen one so tastefully done that way.

Your photographic skills also cease to amaze me. Very professionally done!
