Default Model 40 lemon squeezer

Have a NIB model 40 that I am contimplating giving to my wife to carry. My question is does it have any collector value? I dont want to devalue it if it has collector value. I inherited it from my Dad.

I own a NIB model 40 which I consider a collector piece. I don't know how others feel. I might suggest you look at a 442 or 642 for her ccw. They are much lighter. I carry a 340PD the 357 version and was so impressed with the design that I have built a small collection around it. Next came a pair of 640's (one for each our night stands), a 442 for her carry, and for historical value, the NIB 40 and the original 32 Lemon Squeezer with pearl grips. But, that is just me.

Welcome to the Forum.

I agree with quinn - especially since it was left to you by your Father.
Collector value would be my last concern as the gun would have irreplaceable sentimental value to me should anything happen to it. I'd hate to think of that gun sitting in an evidence box or even worse - being lost or stolen.
There are plenty of other and probably better choices out there for your wife to use as a CCW.
