Prices do vary by area. Around here it would be $800 to $900. I have been seeing model 58's for $650 to $750.

The advice to reload is correct. I am in the Dallas, Texas area. Last weekend I was at Cabela's. I bought some 41 mag. ammo while I was there. A 50 count box of 41 Mag. Remington FMJ target loads was $58. Have fun with your new toy.

Perfect barrel length for an N frame and a good caliber. If the price is reasonable, buy it!

It's difficult to tell from those photographs, but $650 would be a good price for a buyer. If condition is high, expect to pay more especially if it's a no dash.

It's a great, awesome magnum caliber. The s&w n frame handles the recoil of the 41magnum very well. The weight ratio to power is spot on. My model 58 with the 4" barrel is awesome to shoot and very controllable with the less recoil it has. Trust me you will love it.

As far as price I've seen these between $500 to $750 some even higher. Prices do vary. Look closely at the condition, check the cylinder timing, the holster wear if it has any, the finish and the bore. Remember to haggle. When going into the battle of haggling I set a limit on the price before the war starts that's my walk away point. I would look the gun over and point out any flaws. No flaws? Does the wood grain match on the grips? My point is to find something. Now start out low around $400 show him four new $100 bills fan them out. Remember to never show your bank roll. I put $10, $20, $50 & $100 bills in each pocket not to show exactly how much money I have. Play the haggling game it's fun once you know how.

I don't think you could get it for less than $750 around here unless you were really lucky.

In this part of the country (Pa.) I would grab it for 700 and it would fit right in with my 6 inch 57's. To be honest I haven't seen a 4 inch 57 in my area for some time and if I would have I don't think 700 could buy it, but I sure would try.
