Don't have a number for you but the 8 3/8" and 4" guns were only made about a year, more 6 inch guns are available.

Passed on a 4 inch p-r 629 last fall, still regretting it. Already have a 6.

A 4" 629 is one that I'd be hard pressed to pass up.
As additional proof that even a blind squirrel can occasionally find a nut, I stumbled onto this on on GB at a very good price.

My new 'no-dash' {purchased new by me 11-'81} six inch #8812XX is not pinned, but does have a recessed cylinder.
