Almost 2 hours walking the floors at the gun show in Charlotte today resulted in zero purchases. As I headed to the exit I happened to look at a corner table that I had already been to twice when I spied this little 61-3. I guess I missed it because it so small. I had only seen pics of them until today. After a cursory inspection and questions about the price, I filled out the paperwork and brought it home. I haven't cleaned it yet but I do plan on shooting it tomorrow. That is if my bride will give it back.

What a neat little gun.! Never would have thought that this is what I'd find today.

There was one walking around the Lexington, KY show yesterday. First one I've seen for sale in years.

I had one for a while Dan.
Thing ate and spat out everything I fed it with a vengeance.
A great little pocket gun IMHO..
doing mag dumps I could hold "very" respectable groups

Thanks for the info Paul. Really am looking forward to shooting it. And I'm serious about getting it back from my bride. She really likes it. I think she hid it.

Glad to share with you Dan if it had shot to my point of aim it would have
absolutely stayed with me. I had O malfunctions or feeding problems.
It was a singer sewing machine with 4 or 5 different types of ammo.
A friend wanted it and it shot 2 feet high for me is why I let it go.
If the friend didn't happen to want it that gun would have been altered to hit where I wanted........I trusted it.

That gun may just be great for your wife

Like a "coin pocket" gun, I can see why you missed it the first time around. I have never seen one before either. Nice

That was a great find! Looks like a nice little pocket piece.
I've never seen one before, now I did and will have to be on the lookout for one and I hope it will be just as nice!

Now comes the search for an extra mag or 2.

I'll join the ranks of having never seen one either. I like it! When were they made? What should be a fair price on it if I did find one? Are they collectable, or more like the Beretta's, just slightly scarce?

There were approx. 65000 made between 1970 and 1973. My thoughts on the price would be between $325 and $500 depending on what besides the gun, 1 mag and of course the condition. YMMV

Nice Paul, you had the whole package! So what that it shot 2 ft high. Just aim at the knee caps and you hit mass.

Default Target pic - sort of

This is not exactly a range report. More of a 'I can hit what I'm aiming at' report. It's raining here so I threw a milk jug off my shop deck - about 5 yds - and started shooting. I'm very surprised and pleased with the results.

15 feet, that's pretty good shooting! And in the rain too. Shoot to point of aim?

One handed, used the sights shooting 40 gn Federal Target. No FTE or FTF with this rnd. I tried CCI subsonic just for fun and it wasn't fun. I really didn't think they would work and I was right.
