Thanks to the generous human resources of this forum and an unexpected bargain buy on eBay ($12.50 for the Pach Grippers delivered), I am fortunate enough to have the opportunity to try my vintage Model 10-5 police revolver with different grips.
I have shot it before with the target grips that came with it, but they were uncomfortable and too big for my hand. I had the opportunity to shoot it today in beautiful sunny and dry weather with some nice wood grips and a set of rubber Pachmayr Gripper grips.
Both sets of grips made it look and feel more like a real police carry. The rubber grips felt really nice in my hands and were more comfortable especially with Perfecta 158 grain ammo, but the wood ones sure are pretty. I was much more accurate using the new wood and Pach grips because of the hold I was able to get on the gun.
Here are pics of the gun with the target grips, wood grips, and Pach grips. I have a couple of more type grips to try also. What fun this is!
