Recently a buddy came across a S&W model 36, square butt with the following markings: Ser # J537XXX, also stamped on right grip panel.
Stamped on grip frame, lower left side; 41546, G19 & G6
Stamped on grip frame, lower right side V in a circle and X in a triangle (points rounded)
41546 also stamped inside side plate with G 19 below.
41546 also stamped on yoke.
I'm pretty sure that the number 41546 is a parts number to identify the fitted parts, i.e. frame, yoke and side plate, but the other markings have me stumped. Here are some photos:
