S&W model 19-4 2 1/2" nickel prices

Edited due to having misread the OP.

A 95% + 2.5" P&R nickel is not easy to find. IMO, they're not worth the price, unless you're a collector.

S&W 19-4 2 1/2" nickel

I bought this model 19-4. Its about as close to new, you will see. Only, didn't have the box, or paperwork. I gave much less than $1200.

$1500 seems a little optimistic to me even in today's market. The only one I could find on GB was a -3 offered at $1199 which got no offers last month. As much as I like the shiny short barrel 19s I think for $1500 this one would have to go. Don't see them for sale all that often though.

Then you probably did pretty well. A K frame .357 snubbie is nice to have, and nickel ups the value some. I'd prefer a blued one, nickel is too polished for me, but I do have a M66-1 like that.

Enjoy, makes a decent CC piece.

I've been contemplating selling mine to fund a Model 27 purchase. Might have to get on that sooner than later...

19-4 nickel 2.5 inch price

Guess I did well on this one. Purchased in July 2020 at a small Iowa gun show, no box or extras for $750.

Great Snubbies!

A few years ago I was looking for a Model 19 snubby, and I ended up buying this nickel 19-4 (ca. 1978) from my local gun store for $550. I was extremely happy to get it for what I thought was a steal price! It's nearly ANIB, just without the box. I don't see many for sale either at gun shows or online, and I fully intend to keep mine for awhile. IMHO, I think it's current value is somewhere in the neighborhood of $1000-$1200.

I think anything less than a grand for a nice one is a “buy it now, worry about it later” price.

I have one but the price I paid isn’t relevant to what they bring now.

The 2 1/2" inch barrel is now highly desired, add a factory nickel finish and even without box and papers, I'd say $1000 would be the minimum, most will fetch a couple hundred or so more.

Not sure of the price difference between a
dash 4 over a dash 5 but I picked this one up
out of a pawn shop a little over a year ago for $650.
It was wearing Uncle Mikes grips.

There is/was a decent one at shop in Reno, sans box, for $895. Not sure if it's still there...
