I have found a 35-1 in box with tools and despite a search here have failed to find any recent valuations. I searched past Rock Island and gunbroker sales but not much there either
Any current ideas?

Haven't seen a nice one under $1k for a year or two; not that many turn up where I shop anyway. I'd expect to see a 98% with box and papers priced at about $1200 and sell somewhere north of $1k. Maybe more on an auction site. Good luck.

There's one on Cowan's that sold in 2019 for $940 with box, and a couple of more recent ones on true gun value. One sold 4 days ago for $1100 with box, two weeks ago for $671 without box, and two months ago for $898 without box. I'd say you'd be in the $1200 ballpark with box and tools.

I've seen a few.:D

If you sell one gun at auction then that is the 'current' price.

But, if you sell ten guns at auction then you will see what the market can do, on average. All over the place...

Hammer prices on the dates listed.
All gone, but, not forgotten.

Actually I kept one. Guess which one...:) (it's in the picture)

You didn't mention the condition of the 35-1 you found, makes a big difference when establishing value.

Also recognize when comparing prices, that the Pre Model 35 and Model 35 are built on the smaller I Frame, while the Model 35-1 is a J frame. In like condition the I frame can have a $100 to $200 premium over the J Frame model.

Im confused. Are we talkin about the 32S&W long ctg. Six shot, little frame? The ones back in the late 70s I hated to get in a dist. monthly shipment? Along with 41s. Just didnt sell in my area. Ended up trading for salable ammo and leather. No matter, still made cash.

Mike,

It's the 6" .22/32 Target. Just a Kit Gun but with the longer barrel and only came with the square butt. The front sight blade is a Patridge instead of the ramp quick draw style.

It's the Model of 1953 evolution of the Model 1911 .22/32 Heavy Frame Target; the early version HFT of which was known as the Bekeart model.
