I was shooting a (circa) 1968 model 10 and after a while, I could not cock the hammer or pull the trigger. The thumbpiece did not return from fully forward. I could slide it back and cock the hammer.
The problem was that the front-most screw on the sideplate had backed out a little. After tightening it, all was well.
Took me a little while to notice it, so I thought I'd share.
