I have a pair K Frame Target grips with cut outs on both panels. Can someone tell me what time period these were made? What purpose were they made? Are they earlier or later than the grips with cut out in Left panel?

Usually for "special" guns, engraved, commemoratives, etc. These are N Frame. Joe
