Couldn't leave it in the display case, 19-3
!974-ish, 6in, 19-3, $499. I "think" the rule is buy every classic S&W you see for less then $500 . Range tomorrow.

Wow. Nice one. Even if that first number instead of a "4" was 5, 6-or 7 it would still be a great deal.

I just paid $200 more for this 19-2. I'd say you did really, really well, OP.

Certainly agree with your rule. Problem is that it has been a long time since I found any "classic S&W" for less than $500. And I thought the rule had been updated awhile back to buy any priced less than $1k.

Very nice! And a great price in today's market. I paid $499 for the 4" 19-3 in this trio, but it was about three years ago (still a good price even then!). And your rule is right on point!

I don't have the M19-4 w/6" barrel yet (at my FFL), but now I know the one I bought off GB has $300 grips, excellent condition, Bomar sight rib, and $950 with fees. So I guess I got the gun for $600. I really just wanted the grips.

I am going to show my wife the $500 rule, and seriously pursue it.

Wow! Only $500? That's definitely a steal in today's market.

If I saw that for only $500 I'd have snatched it up in an instant... and I already own one. I agree that "less than $1K" is the new challenge nowadays. In a couple more years it'll be "less than $1500".
