If your going north and south on interstate 55, there are two good shops in Cape Girardeau Mo, which is about 100 miles south of St. Louis. One is Shooters Supply and the other is Broadway guns.
Good hunting
Thanks for the info. I will be flying to St Louis and driving to Memphis and then flying home from Memphis. I will make sure to have time to look around Cape G and Sikeston. I may even be spending a night at the Holiday Inn Express in Sikeston. My work will be in St Louis, Popular Bluff, Blythville and Memphis.
In Cape Girardeau as above Broadway guns is now Absolute Arms and Ammo, 2000 William Street (main drag through town). That's my favorite shop in the area, don't miss it.
In Poplar Bluff we have the Shooters Shack on 67 Highway, it specializes in AR's, but has a little of everything. Rocky Top Gun Shop on Old 60 east, right accross the highway from it is a pawnshop who's name I can't recall that sometimes has some nice stuff.
If you find yourself with downtime in Poplar Bluff and a day with nothing to do, a ninty minute drive will get you to the tiny town of Ironton Missouri and Norma's Guns, I think it's about the size Shooters in Cape making it one of the largest in the area.
Edit: Oh I forgot if your into AR's there is another shop in Cape Giraradeau that specailizes in them, but might have to ask around there to find it. Never been there, but know several folks who visit. They never use the name thoguh it's always "Hey look what I got from the lesbians" or "yeah I bought a new Magpul stock, the lesbians are installing it for me." So.. well I guess just ask guys who look like gun fans where to find the lesbians and you will be good to go
When you are in Memphis, go out East to Cordova and go by Classic Arms. They are just what the name says. To me it's the best gun shop in the Memphis area.
