I found these grips on a gun show table today and bought them. The pictures don't do the wood justice. The dealer told me he had purchased the remaining inventory from Dons <STRIKE>widow</STRIKE> daughter several months ago.

The link below has a great post by 29-1 showing a Lew Sanderson & Sons brochure. He (29-1) mentioned Lews son Don who took over the business. Chuck (29-1) was absolutely right, here's Dons business card!

The thumbrest stocks marked "K" are actually N frame.

Those are some beauties, what great craftsmanship, hard to find these days! Do you have your guns picked out that they will go on? Nice find!

Lee,
I bought all the S&W stocks he had. There's one more set of conventional 1911 stocks (fully checkered) that I'm planning on buying tomorrow morning.

Chad congrats!, those are stunning and will escalate in value so fast you will be really glad you bought them.

Man I would sure like a set of those target grips for my K-22 Model 48 Target Masterpiece.

Sure would like to adapt a pair of them to my 686-6 PP 6" or my 610-3 6.5" that I use for target or range guns.

Chad, good eye to spot those at a gun show. I always thought Sanderson stocks were just as nice if not better than any Ropers I ever saw. Keith Brown is the new standard today and I'd like to see Keith produce a Sanderson version.
Chuck
