Renewed faith in S&W service!
Well, as you all know, I have had some bad experiences with S&W service.
Well I figured, I would give them a go, one more time.
I recently purchased a NIB 442 No Lock, and when I got home, and inspected it, I found a ding and scraping on the barrel.
This was from dealers stock, which was never handled. So, I sent it back to S&W, and they replaced the barrel in 2 days and had it back to me in 2 more!
WOW!!! is all I can say!, and the job was done top notch!
I would personally like to thank all, the people at S&W, who made this happen for me!
I will be faxing a letter to the CEO, telling him of the awesome service, and to please congratulate all that were involved with this repair!
PLEASE keep up the GREAT work S&W!!........... I Thank You!

Allglock: I'm glad you are pleased with the service from S&W repair. I, too, have had good experiences with the revolvers that I have sent back from time to time. However, I have had very poor luck with repair work on my new "pocket type" semi-auto 380 Bodyguard. The turn-around-time has been super.....approximately 2-1/2 weeks, but each time it has come back, I've had the same fail to fire problems. About 1 outta every 5 rounds fails to go bang. Not good for a gun whose main purpose is self defense! It is now going back for the 3rd and last time. I am asking them to either replace the gun or refund my money.

I recently had a great experience as well. Turnaround time was about a week. Sent in my 627 PC because there seemed to be some flame cutting in the forcing cone. They fixed/replaced it.. and also replaced the hammer without me even asking (I was just going to put shims in it). Now its perfect.

Well, as a former in home service technician, I can tell you that letter you intend to send expressing your being pleased with good service will mean ALOT to those recognized. In the service industry, EVERYBODY has the time to send a letter to complain when they feel they have been treated poorly for whatever reason, be it legitimate or less than so. But when people take the time to send a letter expressing thanks for good service, it really means alot because not many people take the time to do so. Glad to hear you recieved top notch service, and happy for those about to get that letter from you. Trust me, those who had their hands in your repair WILL be recognized for it.
