Ran into a fella at the range once with one of those. Got to talking, he offered it to try. What a beast! Kills to the front, cripples to the rear. If I plan a trip to bear country, I'll have an excuse why I have to have one.

The opening bid is 2K buy it now $2500 here is one more picture

There was a shop here locally that was selling them for a heck of a lot less than that, about $1200 or so a year back. They had a hard time selling them in the more urban area they were in, too many were interested in Glocks. If I recall, they had them in both .460 and .500. I never held one as I had my short barreled .44 and .45's then.

This is the 460 Magnum version. My Youtube video below shows me shooting it at an indoor range with 454 Casull rounds. Shooting 460 Magnum rounds indoors does not make other shooters at the range happy.

Those wrapped thingies flanking the bear look lile prophylactics
Here's a cheaper way to get one.
Ordrer a Pelican Case Pelican Case 1400 With Foam - ORANGE from Pelican-Case.com
Can't help you with the Orange grips but in any event the bear probably won't notice.
As far as the prophylactics-I'll leave you on your own for that. ;)
Put gun Prophylactice and picture of bear that you download from the internet and VIOLA- coonass bear kit:D

I would have liked to have one of those but the price of the kit and the recoil of the .460 and .500s short barrel made me decide to make my own kit.

I have the 460 kit and am amazed at how much they have gone up in price. When I bought mine, my dealer was giving it away ($630), now it is at least double that.

I remember when my local gun store had one of these for around $1K give or take a hundred bucks.

They could sell a bunch by bringing them out again as Zombie survival kits. It would be about as useful.

I know a guy who has one of these kits in .500 in unfired condition. I was handling the revolver just the other day and was surprised that it doesn't feel as clumsy as I had expected. The kit contains some other items that are not visible in the picture, like a compass and some other things which I can't recall. He told me he paid less than $1000 for it, which is a stunning bargain as far as I'm concerned. The kit is one of three .500s that he owns.

There was a .460 kit for sale on a Colorado gun board a few months back. Sold in a new york minute with a listed price of $900, now I see why.
