Hello,

My wife just bought her 1st gun. The Body Guard .38 Special with the Insight laser.
She does love the gun but she has issues with the laser button.
She just about needs two fingers to operate the laser.
Although cumbersome for me I can operate it, but my hands are much bigger than hers.
Is this a common issue with this set-up and is the laser button normally this hard to operate?
Thanks for any feedback.

Hey Rich - I just got my second Insight laser from S&W as a warranty replacement. On the laser that came with the BG 38 I thought it was just a defective button, but the button on the replacement laser is just as unreliable. I cannot consistently turn the laser on, or cycle through the on-flicker-off settings no matter what technique I use. Sometimes it will turn on with just pressure from my right thumb, but then it won't turn off. I've tried using the tip of a pen, end of a paperclip, edge of a fingernail, my off-hand thumb, with no consistent or predictable results from the laser.
Yeah, I probably won't need the laser in real life, but it is annoying to pay extra for a "feature" that doesn't work reliably.
