I have sure been enjoying my SH. We worked over the trigger and it has a very light crisp 2 1/2lb single action pull, and very smooth and light 8 1/2lb double action pull.
We've shot it on my Ransom Rest (best six shot group at 25yards was about 5/8"), used an Aimpoint Micro H1 red dot and a Bushnell 2-6X scope on it, and it shines in every mode. We've used it to hit little 16oz water bottles at 100 yards (from bags), and it's mostly one bullet, one disappeared bottle.
I also bought a Ruger Bisley Hunter. It is inferior to the SH in every way except for strength. I bought it because I wanted to shoot some of those nasty Buffalo Bore 340gr loads, and it handles them well. It seems about as accurate as the SH, but it's way more punishing to shoot. Because of the "traditional" shape Bisley grips I have to be really careful and use a grip that feels weak and awkward to me or my fingers and knuckles get whacked. No problem like that with the SH, it's very comfortable and natural-feeling in my hand.
I doubt I will hang on to the Ruger long. I've shot a box of those BB 340s, and yeah, they kick pretty good and they are super accurate, but heck, I shoot paper and bottles full of water. I don't need that kind of punishment to shoot that stuff.
I guess I have to also consider I could buy 2 1/2 of the Rugers for the price of the Smith, so I expect more and get more out of the Smith.
