When the Bone collector was announced earlier this many made comments that it might be better looking with the "gaudy" Bone Collector emblazoned on the side cover.

Well I found one that slipped out of S&W missing that.

the one I have has what number out of 1500 it was. that's odd that it has no markings. you may have a one of a kind

Could it not just be a PC version? I thought the BC versions also had specific collection numbering on the barrel.

There is no other PC version, the barrel shroud is unique to the Bone Collector. Box label also says Bone Collector, the Bone Collector is a PC gun.

Missing the numbering on the barrel and the logo make this gun special. Sent for a letter.

Hello! I ended up buying this revolver that has no markings! I called S&W and they said it's a mistake and offered to put the markings on under warranty. Should I do it? Would it be worth more without the markings? It has the numbering on the barrel, but no bone collector logo.

I wouldn't.
Yours might be worth a premium.
And i like yours just the way it sits personally.

Would like to see a picture of your gun without the logo.

Note, the pictured gun has no barrel number or logo.

I have seen another gun with the logo and no barrel marking, I dig up the picture and post it here.

Good luck and be safe

As you can see, it is 862 out of 1500, but the side plate has no bone collector! I don't really care to have it or not, but I guess I'll just keep it bare cause it's special.

Personally I like the cleaner look without the logo also.
This was mention by several forum members in previous Bone Collector thread.

I am compiling a registry of sorts for the Bone collector with serial number, gun number and cartridge shoot date with tester.

If you have A Bone collector I would like to hear from you way of a PM. The list will not have any owner information in it. I have 40 guns documented with SN information and 15 with Cartridge fired date and test information.

I will provide a copy to all the individuals who help contribute information. The easiest way is to photograph the fired case envelop and provide the 1 of number.

Thanks
