I used to have a 637 but in a moment of weakness I sold it. That is still my most regretted sale. So I decided to go with the 442 for pocket carry. What are some good pocket holsters for j-frames?

I've been using a Simply Ruggest Pocket Protector Leather Concealment holster Pocket Protector - Leather Concealment Holster

It's a very simple design but the interior is very smooth so my 642 slides in effortlessly and the outside has rough leather so it stays in your pocket when you draw. I like to side opening for a few extra rounds and it has good quality. I'd buy it again.

From a recommendation by a fellow Forum member I'm using a pocket holster from Concealment Specialties for my 640-1 & 442.

Whatever pocket holster you opt to purchase make sure the handgun breaks free of the holster when you withdraw the piece. The Nemeses works pretty well (and is cost effective) as does the Alabama Holster Kydex pocket model.

The Nemesis is pretty good, but my favorites are Galco and El Paso Saddlery horsehide pocket holsters. They work great in front or rear pockets, they stay put, and the leather is not so bulky. Highly recommended...

Another endorsement for Mika holsters. Order on line, don't be surprised by a phone call within an hour to thank you for your business. Really high quality holster & a great person. The holsters last forever.

I can recommend snubbyfan for an excellent hand made pocket holster. He made one for my M&P 340 with 2 ammo loops. I find it is very easy to get the rounds out of the loops. The outside of the holster is rough and stays in my pocket and the inside is smooth. His prices are very reasonable and the holster is well made.

Galco horsehide with a touch of Kiwi black...

Congrats on the 442. IMO, you'd have to look long and hard to find a better pocket revolver. I can't speak about the more expensive leather holsters but the Mika and Galco Nemesis are both ones that I currently have and seem to be excellent. The fact they are inexpensive is just a plus IMO. Speaking of inexpensive, the UM holsters are ok but I prefer the Mika followed by the Nemesis.
