Finally found a 610 for a good price

Price opinions look good tome. Haven't been able to "chase one down yet" following them. At least not w/factory grips(combat, fingergrove) but restricting myself to 4" or shorter bbl. The hunt continues. As to why 10mm over .357? Got a .357&plenty of ammo....but have 2 cases of 10mm ammo& just because!

Same gun as yours OP. 610-3, 3 7/8" barrel, unfluted cylinder. Culina osage orange grips. Probably my favorite of all my S&W revos.

Love those Culina Osage grips! I have a set of rare Kim Ahrends Osage Orange grips that look similar. I say rare because he didn’t use Osage very often.

Define “decent price” please.

That’s very subjective I suppose. I paid less for this slightly different, unfluted, 3 7/8” barrel than I would have a standard 4” model. Considerably less than a new 4” at $1050-1150 dealer prices. But obviously it’s not a no dash model either.

I’m completely comfortable with what I paid for it considering what I passed up before finding this one. I presume that’s all that matters.

He ain’t gonna tell us:D

OP, we’re only asking because it helps us keep a finger on the pulse of the going rate for N-frames. Not trying to be nosy.

VZ grips, the only color they had in stock. If yall know me or seen my guns from other forums you know I don’t care about color much. It’s not a pageant. Outside of that they feel good but I don’t know if I like em better than the square butt style. I’ll shoot em a bit. I know they’ll be better for concealment and I do plan on carrying this beast. Especially in WI when I move there and wear outer garments more often.

The fit is excellent where the finger grooves meet. The fit against the back strap could be a tiny bit better but still pretty good.

How “grippy” are the VZ grips? I prefer the look and feel of the round butt grips. I have a set of smooth S&W medallion hardwood grips on my round butt 610. However, it has a full-under lug, 6.5” barrel and its front-heavy enough that it wants to slip forward in the hand. A grip with a little more texture would likely help in this regard.
