I love 10mm. Carry it on the farm with a 320xten, shoot hogs and even deer hunted this year with a CMMG 10mm Banshee SBR.

Been wanting a 610 for a while and finally found one I liked for a decent price.

Nice find! I really like 10mm, but only have an M&P 10mm 2.0 at the moment. Are moon clips required for all metric pistol caliber revolvers (i.e. 9mm, 10mm)? I know that .45s can use moon clips (.45ACP) or .45 auto rim.

I'm also a big fan of the 10mm. The 610 ND 5" is one of my grail guns. So settled, well I wouldn't exactly call it settling but I bought a 10mm Tanfoglio and no regrets. Super gun, I highly recommend them.

Interesting gun. I've looked at them several times but always wonder why 10mm over 357mag? Both are fantastic cartridges but the 357 chambering can be a little more versatile on the lower power end and of course is one of the most quintessential cartridges out there.

You can do a 10mm Magnum with a 610.

Congrats on your find & good combination! :)

My 610 is a great shooter in 10AUTO or the converted to 10MAG.

Define “decent price” please.

For a 610-3 with box in good shape, I wouldn’t pay more than $850-$900. Now the pre-locks are a bit different. For a nice no dash 6.5” with box, probably $1800, a 5 incher would go for $2K- $2200. Dash -1’s and ‘2’s a little less, but they still hold their value up in the $1400-$1500 range, depending on barrel length, etc.

What do you guys think? Am I off a bit, or close? I’m basing everything on 95%+ condition with at least original box.

I have a 6.5 inch 610-2 un-fluted cylinder NIB and needed funds so I took it to a local Scheels….. They offered me $650…. I laughed

It is dealer. What did you expect? Dealers will only give you half or less for what you have. Anybody asks me I tell them to stay away from dealers and pawnshops. Try the gun shows, but the vest pocket dealers are not much better and sometimes worse. Probably better to sell it yourself if not violating any laws.

Call me weird, but I really think the unfluted cylinder and full underlug together look bad ***! I was looking for one for awhile and they were all up in the $1600-$1800 range. I wanted one to convert to 10mm Magnum, but didn’t want to use one of my no dash models. I ended up finding another no dash 6.5” that someone had drilled and tapped, so I didn’t feel bad about modifying it further. I got it at a relative bargain even with all the GB fees and transfer. There weren’t a lot of bids on it, probably because of the mods and no box, but it’s a great shooter.

I don’t think you’re off base especially on the prelock guns, especially if they still have the factory combats.

New grips updated photo

VZ grips, the only color they had in stock. If yall know me or seen my guns from other forums you know I don’t care about color much. It’s not a pageant. Outside of that they feel good but I don’t know if I like em better than the square butt style. I’ll shoot em a bit. I know they’ll be better for concealment and I do plan on carrying this beast. Especially in WI when I move there and wear outer garments more often.

The fit is excellent where the finger grooves meet. The fit against the back strap could be a tiny bit better but still pretty good.

That’s very subjective I suppose. I paid less for this slightly different, unfluted, 3 7/8” barrel than I would have a standard 4” model. Considerably less than a new 4” at $1050-1150 dealer prices. But obviously it’s not a no dash model either.

I’m completely comfortable with what I paid for it considering what I passed up before finding this one. I presume that’s all that matters.
