I recently shot about 300 rounds of Blazer 38 special ... and upon completion noticed my compensator had come loose and was askew... I could see threads in the allen bolt but it was still attached. I clearly wasn't aware it was loose and at some point rounds made contact with the inner portion of the compensator ... It didn't take a noticeably hard direct hit enough to bend anything to my eye.... but it clearly made contact enough to slightly knurl the compensator. AND I was off by a few inches all day... maybe it was loose early on and affecting accuracy throughout the session? Should I be sending the pistol back into S&W for a once over regardless ... or just get a new compensator??

Newbie here... any help appreciated!!
