The grips were too skinny for magnum loads, and the serrated trigger was a no-go for my 200 plus round double action shooting session. The trigger rebound soring was also a problem considering 18-20 lbs is a bit over kill.
Some of you may like yours just the way it left the factory, but I had to make some changes for this firearm to see a large round count in a single shooting session.
So off came with the skinny grips. They were replaced by real S&W grips that were designed by real gun people....
The serrated trigger got replaced with a smooth one. Though it really needs a .312" smooth combat which I specifically requested. S&W sent the wrong one....to be corrected later....
And two coils got cut from the factory rebound spring. I apologize for not having a comparison picture.
When I get back from my trip this week I'll show pics of the back strap with the two different grips, which will clearly illustrate the problem.
