Got a 686 plus!

Actually, it's a 1791 Gunleather holster from Miami, FL. USA quality cowhide is shipped to Mexico where the Mexican artisans fabricate the holsters. It's very well made and the leather is extremely nice. It will take a little time to break in because the leather is thick. I think the quality is almost as good as many custom holsters, and for $62 you can't go wrong. Just FYI.
I have a 4 inch “catch all” 1791 that I use for a 67-6, match champion 4 inch and a 686 4 inch. It’s good.. lil thick but cheap and works!

My 2.5 is a little spicy with 1100-1250fps magnums. Wood combats. Better than 1500 hotties though! 27-9 on the other hand eats em like candy!

The 686s have become my favorite .357s. I've had both 6 and 7-shot versions, carried an L-Frame every working day for several years. Sometimes the cylinders do look a little more polished; maybe because that part is more easily/quickly polished at the factory? Currently have a couple L-Frames, a no-dash and -5. I guess my -5 is a 686 +/-. It has both 6 and 7-shot cylinders; the 7-shot converted to 9mm. Haven't carried a 686 in many years, but may still have a holster or two around here for it..

I shot some 158 gr’s and 125gr SD’s using both the hogue bantam and the VZ’s. I’m sticking with the VZ’s for now. They’re just a touch thicker and stay in the hand well.
