Yeah, I guess if you can't find something on their own the Company Website & Amazon that should be your first indication of unobtanium status.
You would think that if they still offer a 9 shot Speedloader for my 1932 H&R .22 Special that you would also be able to get an 8 shot HKS by now. They've been making all the J Frames 8 shots since at least '98 I think- a full Decade.
I've heard excellent reviews on the K Frame Speedbeez, but not the J Frame version. Apparently, the J Frame version locks on the rims a different and a not so secure way. If you drop them them they lose all the ammo. Not that this would be a good practice dropping your Speedloader, but it happens.
Yeah, I know that a J Frame Speedloader is worthless after a few cylinders, I was just looking for one good reload after emptying my primary load.
If you take a .243 Rifle bore mop (to your stainless gun) with some Fliz & attach it to your electric drill & just take the time and let it go in & out through your all your cylinders (takes about at least 2 new bore mops) your cylinders will actually turn out about like a 1960's S&W J Frame was right out of the Factory. Your looking for a mirror polish. This, of course, assuming that all your cylinders are not too tight & correct dimensionally to begin with. Mine were, just needed human finish work is all.
I don't blame S&W: that's just how it is these days. They are still better than most gun Companies with regard to revolvers IMO. I don't mind the hole, or the MIM Parts, anymore either. I'm a high volume shooter, so I just want something quality, by to days standard, that works & still looks good.
Too bad about HKS, they need to step up to the plate.
Thanks for all the replies!
