Some years back I bought this and I was wondering if there was any reason to not shoot it without the moon clips. I have some moon clips but no loading and unloading tool for the moon clips. Was wondering about shooting it just by loading individual rounds. Any information for me on this? Thanks, Bob

Moonclips are optional. You can shoot with or without them. Moonclips just make for faster reloads and ejection, but are not required for rimmed ammo. It is typically required for semiauto ammo out of revolvers, e.g, 9mm, 45acp, etc.

Yep, what Well Armed said is true. It will shoot just dandy without the moon clips. I have a 627 Pro that is cut for moon clips and I hardly ever use them.

This one will take moon clips but I have never used them. It is a 7 shot Pro Series. One of my favorites! Bob
